I have a 2004 230 Sport CC. It currently has three vertical 11"x13" access hatches inside the stern. The outer two are for the batteries and the center provides access (HA!) to the trim tab motor, oil res, bilge pump, fuel filter and the bilge pump. I can get to the fuel filter with one hand and can't even touch the bilge pump. Is there any structural or other reason why I couldn't install a 13" x 24" hatch cover in the center? The designers either don't think about easy access after the build, or they think boat owners are really small. Any alternative suggestions are welcome as well.
