74 9.9 fire and fuel won't start

hey guys! long time memeber but new email and frgttn password make me a new memeber. my 74 9.9 jhnsn elec.start was only firing on one side so i got new points and cond and got fire on both sides. it started with fire only on one side but now that i got fire on both sides it won't start. plugs are firing. when i pull them they have gas on them. but to be sure i sprayed premix in cyl. a few times still no start. choke is working. i don't get it what am i not thinking of?

Take the fuel pump off, but leave the hose's connected. Squeese the primer bulb, and see if you have a leak on the back side of the pump at the pulse opening. I just had one of those, but this is also a stab in the dark. Worth a try! The one I had, same symtom's spark, fuel, and I could'nt even make it pop.

A couple of things that spring into my mind.<br /><br />Have you got the points connected to the correct coils.<br /><br />Has the woodruff key sheared.
