i just picked up a new 14ft mirrocraft deepv boat and the seam is leaking in the back and the place were i bought it wants to silacone it. but i feel like they should do something better than that its brand new and to silacone it to me does not make it right what happens down the road when the warranty runs out .i think they should give a new boat or give me a rebate on it .what do you think. thank you pat.

I would demand a new boat and if that fails I would demand a proper repair, and that is NOT silicone !!! As you say, any such patch is going to make it thru the warranty period, maybe even with another freebie patch job, but then you are on your own for rest of the boat's life. Maybe they would give you an ultra-extended warranty on that specific issue and any associated collateral damage, but guessing that is a long-shot.

Not a good way to start with new ride.
