1986 johnson gt 150 boggs down
i certainly hope someone can help me with the following problem. i purchased an excellent running 1986 johnson gt150 that was on a 1987 ranger bass boat. i test drove the boat and the motor started up and ran like it was brand new. i had a mechanic transfer the motor from the ranger to my bass cat pantera 2. this is what followed after the motor was put on my boat.
motor will start but not as easy as it used to
motor cuts off when put in forward a few times
dash mounted charge indicator reads alternator not charging
boat wont come out of hole. no top end speed at all even though throttle is all the way down. runs just a little over idle speed only
