Sylvan Avenger from 'old stock'- recommended?

Someone on kijiji.ca is selling a 2006 Avenger 17' for what looks like a pretty good dbeal. Says he bought it as an ex-demo boat close to the Sylvan plant.

How do people feel about this model? could it do double duty as a fish/ski boat? thanks!
