    It was one of the two that comes out of the throttle cable housing. Looks to be it as there are only the two that come from the switch. I agree on it being weird. I could undertand it more if it was shutting down on its own.

    It is now 3 years old. Still pumps fine but I believe in doing it before it stops pumping. Also it is always in clean water so I think doing the impeller will probably be ok-if I see the housing or plate is warn I will replace it all. Sierra impellers have been good to me in my other outboards...
