I inherited boat with a Merc 1500 outboard. She starts fine but after about 12 - 15 minutes, it dies. It's not a fuel issue because I hooked up an external tank and she still does the same thing. It doesn't matter if I'm idling or going fast, it's almost as if the key is being turned off...
