I've got an 18' bowrider with a Merc 150 OB on the back. I notice a ton of torque steer with the cable steering system and understand a lot of that goes away with a hydraulic system. I've priced them out for a BayStar around 550.00.
Is the investment worth it?
Bought a boat, everything works great except the gas gauge sticks, and nothing from the trim gauge. Where are the senders on a Merc 150 black max. And how do I check for continuity at the gauge (without a meter)
My fuel gauge sort of works, but seems like it is sticking. Is it as simple as removing the float system from the tank and inspecting and maybe cleaning the sender? I've done it dozens of times on motorcycles.
Hi Everyone
First boat for me, runs great, had it just tipping 60MPH on the lake. It'd winterized now. Just checking to see if there are any other Invader owners out there.
