    Yes it looks like it is split for two feet down the seam.!!! ouch ^ that pic is the inside of these pics... PO folded some tin over the seam with glue and tar behind it. Going to gring it all off and see what to do...

    1970 Mercury 650 65hp OB project

    Well I got a OB today that came with my $300 Starcheif. Has a crack in the lower unit and not sure if it runs. But it is in great shape over all. And spare prop too. Cylinders were treated and plugs are new. Looks complete with all controls too. Need to find the numbers on it....where would...

    Well we bought a fixer upper mainly because new boats are way over priced. It is in bad shape but ready for the work load. Biggest problem is the crack in the lower unit on the 1970 65 Mercury, and the boat has a crack down the fold about 2 feet long. Going to need a tig welder to look at...
