Solar power for a pontoon boat cabin

I'm building a 12' cabin on a 24' pontoon and would like to have a solar power system for small appliances like a couple of fans, coffee pot, lamps, maybe a little TV. I don't want the noise of a gas generator but don't know the first thing about setting up a solar system. Anything I use would...

1958 18 hp johnson prop nut size

Would anyone know what size diameter and thread pitch the prop nut is for this motor? I'd like to be able to just buy a nut and drill a hole through it rather than spend 30.00 on a new prop nut.

My first boat. Where to start?

I've got a 1970 or 71 Chrysler bass boat that I want to restore. I'm pretty sure the floor is shot and the foam underneath is soaked. There is on gouge on the hull and several places where the gel coat are rubbed off. How do I get it back to safely floating? Totally lost here.

    Scott Atwater fuel flow trouble.

I just got a 1953 7.5 bail-o-matic. The problem is fuel is flowing from the carb to the unit on the side but getting blocked there for some reason. I took it apart and blew it out. The only thing I can think of is there is a rubber diaphragm type gasket on the top and its old and stretched...

The 'ol gal started running rough with about half power at full throttle. At slow speed it was fine except for some sneezes. Every time I'd open it up it would bog down with an occasional surge.... Then finally died at the ramp. Cranking on it , it would fire for 10 seconds then quit. I could...

'54 Sea King recoil start trouble! arrrgggghhhhh

My recoil starter started messing up by not gripping when I'd pull it. Then when the motor would start you could hear a rattle. Finally the pieces that grip the flywheel ground off. Got my 1954 12 hp sea king running.......BUT!

I cleaned the plugs and carb. Got it running in the barrel after a lot of pulling. As long as its warm it fires on one pull. After letting it sit for a couple hours it takes starting fluid to start it again? Any ideas??

    1954 12hp sea king

have began messing with my old motor. Is it normal for it to be so hard to pull the rope on it? It seems very stiff but I've no idea if this is just on of it's quirks. also should I grease it anywhere?
