HI just had to ask you all. i have a 350 oldsmobile diesel, is it had to convert it to a boat engine what do i need? and would it cost alot of money to do this? and will it bolt to a volvo 280 outdrive?

i have a 1963 Tolly craft cabin cruiser and its all mahogany inside / Outer side is fiber glass .
my question is how to repair the wood near the transom floor in the lower bottom corners cause they have rot and when i crap the rote wood it goes all the way to the fiber glass on the out side ...
i need to know how to fix this it has dry rot and the fiber glass is still in pretty good shape from the inside and out once i scrap all the rotted wood off.
