So I have a Mariah with a 454mpi and bravo 3. I was thinking since the 454 has 310hp and a 350mag has 300 would my boat actually perform better with the 350 mag since it is lighter? Am I actually gaining anything with the 454 and why would Maruah offer this in a 21' boat?
I do if I'm going very far. I use the jeep to pull the boat out of the garage because it is so much more maneuverable and it a really tight fit. Once I'm out I unhook ND hook to the truck. It would save me a lot of work just using the jeep
I have a 1999 Mariah 212 with a bravo 3 and 454mpi. This boat is heavy in the rear and the bow hammers in waves. It also won't take any trim. I added the recommended smart tabs and they lift the rear and makes hitting waves much better. One big negative I notices is the boat lays way over when...
I looked up the towing capacity and with a european hitch it is rated at 4800lbs. They said the european hitch replaces the rear mount and is much stronger. Anyone heard of that?
I have a 350 mpi and the sea water pump is different. It has a stack and has 2 air lines coming out of it. What is the purpose of all this extra junk on the water pump.
I have a Mercruiser 350 MPI. WhenIi first start the boat it runs great but once warm I get a 2 beep per minute alarm. I checked the temp sender and it never changed. What else would be triggered after the boat is warmed up?
Heads up guys. If pulling 2 or more tubes always attach all of them in a center location. I had a friend pull 2 tubes, each on an outside cleat. He went into a sharp turn which basically shortened the outside rope and instead of the tubes hitting each other, the tubes were at different distances...
This guy has a great discussion about tow vehicles on the Airstream forum. He is one of the only guys to actually test vehicles towing instead of assuming. He also says truck and fullsize suvs really handle bad even when not towing. Check out the videos.
