2019 F25 Yamaha over heat light coming on.

Yes, a tiller and no buzzer. The RPM reduction is what made me realize I had an issue. Jeff

2019 F25 Yamaha over heat light coming on.

Thank you 99yam40 and boscoe99. That's what I was thinking boscoe99, my local guy didn't have OEM is the only reason I bought a Sierra Impeller. I do have the OEM kit now, should be able to change it out this week and see if that fixes it. The one thing I found weird about the temp light and RPM...

2019 F25 Yamaha over heat light coming on.

boscoe99, what do you mean? Legitimate question, the only temp sensor I see Yamaha lists it as a thermosensor assembly. Jeff

2019 F25 Yamaha over heat light coming on.

Thank you brodmann, I appreciate that. I'll check it if the new water pump kit doesn't solve the problem. I'm wondering if the cup is out of position. The cup has a small tab that sits in a slot in the housing for indexing. I'm just wondering if I had it slightly off. Jeff

2019 F25 Yamaha over heat light coming on.

Hello all, I have a 2019 F25 SWHC Yamaha 6FMK S. I have recently replaced the Impeller, not the kit, just the Impeller. After changing the Impeller the temp light come on at an idle in gear, seems to go into limp mode. I do a lot of trolling and haven't had an issue until now. The tell tale...

Pictures of I/O SS or Holiday with a kicker motor.

Hey everyone, I am looking to mount a kicker motor for trolling Walleye and such. I would use an electric bow mount but, where I fish in Qu?bec. There is no power to recharge the batteries, unless I bring a generator. I have a 18' SS I/O and looking for ideas as to where and how to mount it, I...

1988 Johnson 9.9 low RPM and power at WOT.

1988 Johnson J10RCCD with Champion RL82C plugs. I bought this boat and motor combo. When I got it home it had old gas in it and when I checked the fuel pump screen the gas that came out of it was brown. So I decided to rebuild the carburetor and fuel pump as well as new plugs, I replaced the...

Drilling transom for transducer wire, how to cover the hole?

I am installing my Lowrance X125 in our Starcraft SS, it requires an one inch hole. It is an IO so it has a tall transom. What should I use to cover the hole after sealing with 4200? I?ve thought about a clam shell type vent, is there anything made for this specific application? Also if using a...

    1980 2.5L Mercruiser shifting problem.

I had to replace my impeller on my 1980 2.5L, I didn't have the water pump kit for the R drive but I did have one for my MR drive. I put the water pump kit in the 1985 MR drive and put it on the boat, I adjusted the shift cable per the manual. Now the boat (drive) will not go into drive without...

    ID this Starcraft.

I think it was a 1980 or at least it was in the 80's. It was our first Starcraft, I liked it a lot. It was light towed well, however it was an OMC with the 3.8L V6 and the block cracked from PO not winterizing it properly. When I got it I had to rebuild the starter, I got it going and put it in...

    Windows 7

I just rebuilt my computer about a week ago, I was very nervous about changing my operating system as I have been a long time user and fan of XP. But I went with win 7 home, I have to say it has been running well and so far I really like it. Just thought I would put this out there for anyone...

    Boating and camping?

Trying to get some perspective here. The wife and I love to boat and fish, however I am not loaded with money and am fairly frugal for the most part. So when we do travel we camp, tent camping is ok but we would like to have a little heat and air when the weather dictates, also would like a...

Need info on the St. Lawrence River and Wellesley Island.

Anyone know about the Walleye fishing in the area, and what time of the year is best? I can?t make up my mind if I want to go south this summer and fish the salt, or go north and fish for Walleye. I?m not much of a beach person, the wife likes it though. I really like it in the north the...

    Tragedy on our waters today!!!

Well the morning started with a body recovery about five miles out of town at a popular local swimming place. A couple people in canoes found the body; he had been in the river a few days. There was another drowning in one of our local rivers a little while later. And I ended my shift with...
