  1. Re: 1988 Evinrude V4, 140hp keeps cutting out and struggling under power (stalls)

Adjusting the carb is not the same as cleaning the carbs. I suspect it is a fuel problem and the carbs probable need re-building.

Now just as a thing to also try is to squeeze the fuel bulb when...

Re: 1977 Johnson 85hp runs fine out of water

Get an old school timing gun and verify that every cylinder is firing. Out of water it will "sound" fine even when not firing on all cylinders. Just move around the clip and verify each cylinder.

  8. Re: Power trim fluid for 1988 70hp 3 ram system?

  11. Re: Anyone ever seen a larger aluminum hull develop a "twist"? Mine appears to have

I agree with Bond-o ..... since you changed the type to a bow rider .....you lost some strength and yes, that could be a warp spot. You have lost some of the structural support.

  14. Re: *** DO O JAVE A POWER OT JUST A MANIAL T/t lift??

Manual tilt only. Everything is there and not a power T&T unit. Hard to find and adapt to that old motor so if you need T&T I would suggest an aftermarket unit.
