    Yep that hourly rate is good but I would inquire further on more specifics on exactly what else they may be doing because for just the ujoint bellows that seems a bit high.

    Sometimes those lube fittings/hoses necessitate removal of the drive to provide access to where you might need to get to.

    No, you need to pull the drive.

    May even need to split the halves and plug with a rubber cork the oil passage hole between the 2 halves if need be.

    When you drained the gear lube did you see any water coming out?

    Seems like you'd want to drain the lube, pull the drive and do a pressure test and see what that shows.

    That is correct having it down in.

    By pumping from the bottom (fill) hole you will be pushing the air up and out; first the vent hole then the bottle.

    a1g2 with lube monitor it is trimmed all the way up/out.
    Take a read of the manual starting on 1b-11 for checking oil then 1b-12 starts the procedure....

    Just seems like it had not all drained out before you removed the drive. It will drain from the bottle to the lower and out the fill hole.

    I've got a 27 foot Sundancer and love the 454/B3 combo.

    My spedo don't start until 10mph and in gear just above idle doesn't register; I would think you should have no issues trolling.
