Default 1997 gsi seadoo please help

ok where to start i was out on the lake and the groung wire broke off the starter so for a fast fix i took a bolt out the the exaust and just stuck the wire under and started back riding... later on the wire came off so i put it back on and headed for the dock im guesing the wire got lose again and it died again... and would not start again. so now its popping the 5amp fuse on the electronic module ***. i read on here could be the vts so i unpluged it and thats not it. still poping the fuse i unpluged the magneto plug and with both the vts and magneto plug off the fuse stays good? and with the plug out of the top of the rear eletrical box the fuse stays good.. is there a way to check the electronic module ***. to see if its bad im kind of lost as to where to go from here.. please help thanks logan

should have 3 yellow wires from the magneto to the rectifier, unplug those at the rectifier, then plug in one at a time and see if one of those blows the fuse,, if so you have a ground in one of the charging coils,, each one produces 2 amps so you can just leave that offending wire unplugged and the battery will still charge but only with 4 amps instead of 6 amps.. won't usually be an issue
I once thought having a 6 figure income would be great,, now I have a 6 figure income TAX , wats up with that!!

i went out and checked with my test light there are 2 yellow wires, one black and one black with red stripe.. the only one that is grounded is the black one.. ok the fuse blowes with the vts plug pluged in and or the magneto plug in but if both of them are out the fuse stays good??? im guessing they send a ground back to the electronic module box... any guesses why this is doing this?
