I made a post this morning about my prop but maybe it wasn't in the right area...anyway, I recently got my aluminum prop back from the rebuild shop. They painted the once white prop black. It's been in the water about a week and the black paint is bubbling and falling off. Can / should I strip it and repaint it, buff off all the paint and polish it or leave it alone?
Assuming you are in fresh water;if it was mine I would leave it alone.
Technically it should be aluminum friendly paint though I bet the prop shops don't use it and I don't think it is an issue.
Someone did post that they highly polished an aluminum prop and it did improve performance very slightly, didn't last long.

Thanks for the input steelespike, I'll probably leave it unless all the paint comes off.
