Prop removal

Okay, my Mercruiser was easy. This Volvo-Penta has me stumped. How do I remove the prop? I think I just need to remove the protective cone from the rear of the prop. My guess is left-hand threads too. Am I doing the right thing ?

What VolvoPenta drive do you have?

I'm pretty sure it's the AQ260.

All the threads you encounter will be right handed. The cone is threaded on then held in place by one bolt that threads into the end of the prop shaft. Remove that bolt then unscrew the cone, there s probably a hole thru the cone that a rod or screwdrive can be inserted thru to both sides and used for leverage. After that just watch all the nuts and keepers and washers that are in front of and behind the prop and in what order.
