OMC 2.3L on 1989 Bayliner Capri 1950 -Suggested MFG pitch? Sound like prop damage?

I have a OMC 2.3L Stern Drive on 1989 Bayliner Capri 1950

Is there a starting point pitch wise for props - like a manufacturer suggested size?

I explained what happened to some colleagues at work and they both seemed to point toward a damaged or bent prop although I can't see any obvious damage. (For those curious - felt like i hit a log with two loud thuds then I was able to go but there was a huge vibration that's frequency increase with speed)

Anyways the prop on there is all worn out and old. Its aluminum. I used the selector on iboats to find a new prop and it seems like I have to pick the pitch.

Is there a mfg suggested pitch?

Also do any of you agree that this sounds like a bent prop? They said if I hit a log it might not show obvious damage but the slightest bend can cause funky vibrations. Would I feel these if I ran it dry with muffs when I got home?
