Default 1967 Merc 500 Prop question

I just bought this motor and it has a chewed up prop. I think the rubber has sheared since with a bit of effort the center spins but the prop does not. is that normal? I have never dealt with the lower ends on outboards except to change the water pump. And also where can I get a prop? most places only have merc listings back to 77 or so. Any other year or model interchange? I do have the remains of a 6 cylinder merc I think mabey a 68 or so. it has a prop in better condition but dunno if they interchange. Even if it's not the right pitch thats ok. since i just want to be able to take the little woman fishing a couple times before the weather turns on us.

Thank you for any help you can give me.
