wanting to know if anyone knows what range in years and horspowers will fit<br /><br />Also I live on the South Shore, Nova Scotia CA....<br />Where would be a good place to start looking for a lower unit?

I think you'll find a place called Arnie's just outside of Dartmouth heading down the eastern shore has lot's of used parts. I don't know his phone number off hand but you should be able to find it. Ask someone from the South Shore Bass Club or drop into Veinotte's Gone Fishing in Bridgewater and I'm sure they can steer you in the right direction.

Arnie's has undergone a name and ownership change, and for the life of me I can't remember the new name. It's out the Cow Bay Road on the right hand side if that's any help. That's probably your best bet anyway.<br /><br />Good luck!<br /><br />EDIT: 869 Cow Bay Road. The old phone# was 465-3600 and I don't think their number has changed.

Found a lower unit...matter a fact bought the whole motor... was $50 for lower unit and got the whole motor for $75...electric start and all ...motor overheated due to pump not working...<br /><br />Veinotte's Gone Fishing in Bridgewater....<br />very good connection...thanks<br /><br />Arnie's of Eastern Passage....had one for $250 and the phone number is still the same <br />902-465-3600<br /><br />Thanks <br />Basstactics <br />& Paul Moir
