1995 Johnson 115. Can anyone tell me what I need to check for when I get a "fuel flow restriction" alarm. It only occurs when I am running wide open. Is it a problem with my fuel line or is it a oil/gas mixture problem? Need help!

Re: fuel flow restriction alarm

DOUGDAV, IT SOUNDS LIKE YOUR GETTING AIR IN SOMEWHERE. CHECK YOUR FUEL LINE & HOSE CLAMPS. THEY BOTH NEED TO BE IN GOOD SHAPE & TIGHT. CHECK THE FUEL FILTER ON THE MOTOR. THE O-RING & GASKET LEAK AIR IF THEY ARE NOT SEATED CORRECTLY & WILL SOUND THE HORN, INDICATING A FUEL RESTRICTION. THE OTHER POSSIBLITY IS THE MOTOR COULD BE RUNNING HOT. THE ALARMS ARE THE SAME.

Its not getting hot. So you are pretty definant that it is not fuel mixture then? Thanks for the info.
