Hey guys, I have an old outboard as you see in the subject. The bottom cylinder doesn't seem to be firing. There is fire getting to the bottom plug but possibly weaker than the top wire (maybe it's suppose to be I don't know). Any ideas? No gas getting to that cylinder? I hope I'm not showing to much ignorance.

I can take the bottom plug wire off and the motor runs the same as with it on.

Re: Johnson 5.5 CD-19 problem

CD19 is a 62.It is very common for these motors to have bad coils.Readily available at NAPA auto parts,And I believe here at iboats..You should first check the points clean and adj to .020.If the coils show any evidence of cracking or discoloration replace them.
If the motor has been sitting around you should
go through the fuel system from tank to carb with
special attention to cleaning.
It would also be a good idea to change the
impeller and lube the lower unit unless you know it has been done.
These are nice little motors and it should serve you well.
