87 evinrude not hot but buzzer buzz sometime

I have a 87 evinrude 70 hp motor. Sometimes it will buzz at the warning buzzer, but the engine appears to not be hot. I have changed the water pump and impeller. Should there be water coming out of the pee hole or will this model not have one? The motor runs great for a long time and it only dhappens sometimes.. thanks

It may be telling you that you have an oiling problem or a fuel restriction.<br /><br />I would start by servicing the oil tank.<br /><br />1. Remove the tank and dump the old oil.<br /><br />2. Replace the filter sock.<br /><br />3. Refill and reprime.<br /><br />4. Run pre-mix 50:1 in the fuel tank until you verify oil useage.

Fill the tank up, mark an line on the side with a Sharpie pen. Take the boat out and run it around as you normally would. Check the level after your days outing.
