hi there, i have a johnson seahorse 85 outboard, i believe it to be a 1980, the model number is J85MLCSA. had it running great last time i was out on it, went to go out on it the other day and it just wasnt running properly, didnt seem to be reving enough and seemed to be missing but occasionally it would power up. first thing i thought was maybe the spark plugs were breaking down so i got a new set and went out again but its still lacking in power so i checked the plugs and they seem fine on the one side but dont appear to have burned anything on the other side, other than being wet and a bit oily they look like new. so then i checked they were all sparking individually and they all seemed to have a good spark. any ideas what the problem might be? any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
