Purchased a new Humminbird 788CI and I have buzzing noise in VHF Radio. I have tried seperate wiring to both Fish Finder and Radio, Moved the aantenna. nothing seems to help.

I have also tried to contact Hummingbird with no sucess.

Anyone with ideas?

Re: Humminbird Install

Noise has to be coming from the transducer. If the VHF is hard wired to the boat try a radio noise filter on the power supply. Make sure your VHF antenna connection is clean.

See what happens when you power up one of the units on a different battery.

I'm assuming you did not cut into the transducer wiring to shorten it?

Make sure the transducer cable is not running alongside of the VHF cables.

Thanks for the reply

I disconnected the transducer, no help. Hooked up a different battery, no help. I connected seperate wiring to both radio and fish finder, no help. I replaced the annenta, no help.
