I have owned this boat for 15 years and the engines are getting tired. I only have use the boat in fresh water (Lake Erie) and wish to move and rack store it in Florida.
The Boat has twin Mercruiser 165's I/O straight six chevy block with old alpha drives. I have been considering the 4.3/MPI/Seacore replacement with new Alpha drives.....but the weight is 865, approximately 170 pounds more than than the original configuration. Not sure the boat will sit properly by adding ~ 350 lbs.
Any suggestions?
