Motor identification

I,m looking a purchasing a used Johnson 90hp, 2-stroke motor. Its currently on a 1982 vintage boat. The model and serial numbers on the motor I.D. plate are faded away. There is a number stamped in the block however. The number is 168093 07DN. How can I find the age, model and serial number so I can get replacement parts in the future?

sometimes you can read the plates at night with a flashlight. on look for a quarter size disc on the block.
