15 Hp stalls a low speed

I have a 1992 15 HP Johnson out board very low hours.it's been setting for some time. New plugs and fuel pump. Starts a little hard and when it starts running, must play with the choke to keep it running(in or out of gear. as soon as it gets to the high speed jet RPM it runs just fine. I'm thinking low speed jet partially clogged. Any Ideas on this? If I take the carb apart will I need a kit for gasket replacement? any Ideas will sure be appreciated....oletomtucker

Probably the gasket will be reusable. Either way I would but a carb kit in it while you have it all apart and the kit will have new gaskets. Rick.
