Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum for posting, but I did try checking previous histories before asking.
so, I've got a late '70-early 80's Sea-ray v200 (20') with a 305 /350 /377 mercruiser v8. i say 305/350/377 because the person i bought it from claimed it was bored out, blah blah blah to a 377, but the tags on the heads still read 305. could be, but that doesn't really matter. now, i've dewinterized the boat (it hadn't run in 3 yrs, but it was drained, plugs removed, fogged, etc).
2 questions, i found 6 plugs, 2 on block, 2 on exhaust body, 2 on upper exhaust. is that all the frost plugs? (im on dialup so i can't download the manuals). so, i started it, it ran, but my battery connections were getting warm. no cross shorting, no arcing, but still odd. then i let it warm up, seemed to run fine, so i took it out for a very short spin, one of my exhaust manifolds has a hairline crack :( but since the water was flowing i could tell water was flowing. At full throttle, it snuffed on me, so i restarted, came back in, and my intake manifold was severly hot and was starting to burn paint. the gauge read normal. so.. any ideas?

Ayuh,... That's Resistance,... Sand 'em Clean,+ that don't happen...

Chevy's used an exhaust cross-over in the intakes,... Your's might be plugged up...
Donno why it Quit at speed,... Fuel filters maybe...
