I have a merc 4.3 when i changed oil this spring to get it ready the last part that came out look kind of milky. I started it and ran it and change the oil again that time it only looked slightly milky when i wiped the dipp stick on a rag so i changed it again it looked fine.I took it out this passed weekend and it ran fine the first day and fine the next day untill late in the evening then it started to miss while running then straitend out run fine for 5-10 minutes and repeated doing this so took it out of the water and looked at it.It had a lot of white gel coming from the oil fill tube and on the carb where the vent tubes that come from the valve covers attach to air cleaner and had lot of moisture in that area. When i got it home hook water to it and ran it at 25 - 3000 rpm i didnt seem to miss anymore but had extremly hot steam coming out of those tubes and the oil fill . the oil looked a little milky also steaming out of the prop. can anyone help?

The last one i had that did that was suffering from a broken exaust valve spring. might want to pull the valve covers and check, you might be able to push the valve down by hand or see the broken section.
Was running somewhat ok but had water vapor coming from the valve covers into the carb. This can be fixed while in the engine using compressed air to hold the valve closed while you remove the broken parts and replace them
