Re: johnson outboard

molena,

if you are standing behind the engine there should be a metal plate on the left hand side of the transom mounting bracket. On this plate you should find the model and serial #'s. If you post the model number then someone here will be able to identify the motor for you if not then you will have to go to your local Johnson dealer so they can run the serial number.

Re: johnson outboard

The number on the freeze plug would be the serial number. Except for one small problem: RPH means Replacement Powerhead. So that is not the powerhead that came with the motor, and the RPH serial number is worthless.
EDIT: Just for the record, motor serial number 392124 is a 1940. Do you think it's that old?

Re: johnson outboard

V, it's much better to start your own thread but 393530 is the part number for a replacement 1992 9.9/15 powerhead.
