I have 2 repair manuals for my engine and both refers to the marks on the flywheel as .462 or 45 ... but the flywheel on my engine has the number zero on the middle and the number 10 on the sides.... I am having trouble to understand how to adjust the timing....
I put the dial on the piston number 1 and the TDC is equal/exactly to the number Zero on the flywheel , is that the correct setting?
can anyone please help me to understand the timing according with the marks that is on my engine ?

Thanks a lot ...

marks looks like this:
10 ||||||||| 0 ||||||||| 10

The .462 mark is to justify The TDC point on the engine as TDC is difficult to get perfect with a indicator The marks are at the extreme end of the flywheel timing marks if not beyond if you turn the flywheel manually you should see them
