I'm having trouble starting my 7.5hp outboard motor (SN 04315022 - 1976).
Lately it has taken 10 - 12 pulls to get it to start- once it's running it seems to be fine.
I had a tune up done in April 2007 and was told I had a good engine. I had a fuel leak which I have fixed (loose screw) at the carb inlet fitting. The engine is real clean for it's age and runs strong after getting it started. Also, about 1 -2hrs after shut off I go through the same thing again.
