I recently came across a 1959 Johnson V4S 11 50 HP super sea horse outboard motor. The wiring harness was in two pieces. I have the piect of wiring that goes from the box to the motor, and the box to the ignition switch. I purchased the ignition switch and the starter celonoid box. I purchased a Selco manual that was supposed to cover all modles from 1958 to 1972 3cylinder and v4's but the wiring diagrams only cover down to a 60Hp v4 with a year of 1968. where can I find a diagram to wire the wiring harness for a 50hp V4S 11?

That's rather simple.

Battery terminal (+) to one large solenoid terminal. That solenoid terminal to ignition switch "B" terminal. Fuse this wire to the "B" terminal.

Other large solenoid terminal to electric starter terminal.

Battery terminal (-) to powerhead ground.

Ignition switch - "S" terminal to one of the small 3/8" nuts on the solenoid. Other small 3/8" solenoid nut to ground.

Ignition switch - (C) terminal to electric choke solenoid if it exists.

Ignition switch - One "M" terminal to ground.

Ignition switch - Other "M" terminal to magneto kill terminal.

Ignition switch - The "A" terminal.... Connect any accessory here that you want 12 volts applied to ONLY when the key is in the ON or START position.

Do you still need the diagram? I don't have it but someone else might.
