Re: NO start

There is no kill switch in line with the ignition switch, but there is a fuse!!

You either have a bad battery connection, or a bad earth connection, or a blown fuse or a defective ignition switch..

Go and clean the battery connections, check the negative lead from the battery is making good connection to the motor. Check all your fuses (on my boat the fuses are behind the instrument panel, I don't know where they are on a bayliner) and if all that fails, you need to get a multimeter and check if you have 12 volts at the switch, if you do then the switch is probably at fault. Try dismounting it and cleaning it.

I would suspect its bad battry connections or a fuse..

Re: NO start

Check at your ignition switch. Check the red wire, it should be hot all the time, turn the ign. to the run position. Purple is you ignition wire and goes all the way to your engine harness where there is a big splice and the purple wires and purple/red wires all come together. Just follow the power from the ignition switch to the coil and see where it stops.
You may have a kill switch that is faulty, Bayliner did use them in the Capri series.
