I am new to this website and I would appreciate any suggestions.
I have a 2001 115 four stroke merc with no power.
When the engine is out from the water it runs fine, but when I put the engine is in the water the engine has no power. I can't get the rpms above 3000.
I have chenged the spark plugs and double checked the spark wires. Also the fuel filter is clean. Clean fuel too. November 2005 I took the engine to a Merc dealer and they told me that the fuel injectors were clogged and they cleaned them. Once the dealer cleaned them, the next time I run the boat it was running good. The second time I took the boat out,same problem again. Also the engine shakes a little bit. All the services and engine oil changed two times a season. I kept the engine in an excellent shape. The next think in mind is change the fuel pump.
Any suggestions will be very helpful.
