In general:
If the trim pump is located next to the motor transom bracket, you lower the motor and remove the cap, fill the reservoir, replace cap, cycle up and down a few times. Repeat as needed to remove all air.
If the trim pump is located between the transom brackets, you raise the motor to fill the fluid, then do as listed above.
