Welding cracked block-mercruiser 3.0 - 2003

New to forum with question - I have read past threads about the possibilty of getting a cracked block welded. Mine is cracked and I believe we stopped before it was severely damaged. No migration of either water or oil but did blow a freeze plug. Is there anyone that knows of a place to get the block welded in the Milwaukee, WI area? Any assistance would be appreciated. Realy can't afford to replace the engine.

Well Tom,.......... Let's back up,+ have a Better Look at Where,+ What is Cracked,........

The Oil is Not seeing Any Water when the motor is Run up to operating Temps,..??...

Is there Water excaping from the Block anywhere,..??...Exactly Where,..??..
You Did replace the Coreplug,.??.. Right,..??..??....

There's a Much Better Chance of a Successful Repair with some Epoxy paste,.. Rather than Welding.....
