Iwas in the process of reinstalling a rebuilt alt on a Mercruiser 5.7 w/ twin battery connection. Needless to say I blew a fuse and I can't find the right fuse. I checked all thr fuses at batt switch as well as the one attached to the battery. Even with the key on and batt switch on I still have no juice to the dials. Also would like the proper connection for the alternator wires. Orange, blue,red/purple,and black. Orange and blue are 10 gauge The alt is a Mando 97 merc. thanks

Re: alternator connections & fuse

You should find a 50A circuit breaker on the engine. It may have popped. It will be located with the slave start solenoid. Either on the starboard forward part of the engine, or on the port side of the intake behind the carb.
