1990 115 mercury power loss in rough water

I have a 1990 115 merc that loses power whenever i run into a big wave.The motor will lose about 600 rpms .IT usually comes back to normal after stopping for a few minutes.Any help would be appreciated.

Carb floats would be my guess. Probably not seating very well and the wave upsets them and the engine floods momentarily.

Sounds to me like carb kits are in order.
