Loss of Acceleration after 3/4 throttle?

20hp mercury...unknown year....after 3/4 throttle the engine revs normal rpm's but has zero acceleration....it runs normal speed from idle to 3/4 throttle....any suggestions?<br /><br />Thanks

Sounds like fuel starvation, the problem would lie somewhere in between the fuel tank and the carbs, follow the trail.
