200 HORSE BLACK MAX not sure of the year serial #'s on it are 6566118 it has brown pin stripping on the motor cover if that helps. When i turn the key it goes beep beep then when i start it it goes beep....beep wright away and fast not (cont) just fast and will stay that way. With it still sounding and running this is all of 2 or 3 minutes of running it may stop for a second then start sounding again. But it will sound again and still in the 2or 3 minutes of stating and running I can put my hand on the heads and there warm or not blister hot. I have a good water stream and it gets warm also and I know it will. Please can someone help me with this problem? This all started last year and now it Aug and i've had no boating this year because of it .

When the salesman hears a funny noise from under the hood, he turns up the volume!

Not suggesting you do that, but this looks like a dodgy electrical contact somewhere. Your motor seems to be running OK, so - check out the wiring for dry joints, frayed insulation, as a first step.

you might try the heat sensor. i have had same issue. the only time the alrm goes off is if i diconnect the tan wire from the post where it meets up with tan/blue wire from heat sensor. my shop tell me i have faulty ,odule. this may be your issue also.for me it is not an oil issue and i have check the oil sensors and the pump. it appears top be a heat sensor or faulty module good luck

JWR44 The heat sensor is bolted in the block with 2 bolts and a single wire coming out rite and that wire is attached to the block with an othere wire that goes to the oil mod on the oppossite side of the heat sensor does this sound rite

Dude, That alarm is an indication of an oiling problem... It can come from a few sources...

There is a sensor on the cap of the oil tank mounted on the motor. If the oil level in that tank drops below "full" the alarm will sound. "beep,beep,beep"...

Also there is a sensor on the oil pump itself. If there is a problem with the rotation of the pump in relation to the rpm level of the engine (the pump is not rotation correctly) it will also sound off the alarm.

I've also heard that an alarm module failure can cause an intermittent beep that is faster than the oil signal. But it's hard to tell which is which by posting just a description...

DO not run the motor until this is fixed.
I would at least pull the oil pump and inspect the metal driven gear on the pump. If you see shavings of plastic on that gear the drive gear in the crank case is probably toast, and is causing the oil pump to not work properly...
The other option is to make sure the oil tank on the engine is full "completely" of oil...

By the way, an overheat alarm is a constant tone... "beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep". And your description of that sensor is correct, but not the cause of your problem... That lead goes to the terminal block and then to the alarm module...

Re: help i have a FAST BEEP BEEP ALARM

I had a fast beep beep on my 150 black max, and it was because of a cracked fuel line. The alarm would go off when I was running down the lake because it was sucking air in the fuel line causing the engine to run lean. Replace about a 2 1/2 inch piece of hose, and problem was fixed

heat sensor is bolted into block and tan/blue wire comes out .this goes to post on engine .tan wire from module goes to this post also. if u discoonect the tan/blue wire the heat sensor is not causing the issue if beep still occurs. if u disconnect wire to module and issue goes away u could have bad module in absence of any oil issues.
