MY rpms dropped from 6100 to 5600 then to 4800 along with a vibration, sort of like a cylinder not hitting. I found water coming out of exhaust and a crack in the exhaust manifold leaking water and air and also a gasket blown out just under the powerhead. I have a 200 Mercury black max 1988. Could water be getting into a or some cylinders causing the rpms dropping and loss of power or is this a seperate issue? Is there chance the powerhead is hurt if water got in the cylinders? Thought i was having fuel problems but have eliminated all of those. All this began as I was running WOT and began to lose a little power then all of a sudden the fuel line connector to the motor flew apart and the engine was swamped as it glided to stop. After a spare was installed on the line and reconnected the engine only run about 4800 to 5600 rpms and engine seemed unbalanced. Thought water got in the line and well the rest was found after trying to exhaust fuel problemss. Need advice. Thanks Danny, dcfrank@knology.net
