Extension to foot drive cable

I don’t know how to best describe it so a picture is best. I’d like this part to be longer to be able to put the foot pedal on the floor of my boat: I’ve got a small casting deck and I don’t always like to stand on it when I’m fishing. Is there a way to extend this part? I’ve for a minn kota edge 45 just like the picture.

I've seen different trolley motors with different set ups. Im not opposed to getting a different trolley motor if necessary.
