    Default Throttle and shift cables on 99 Merc 40hp

    How much of a job is it to replace cables on 40hp Merc on 24ft Fischer pontoon? Any ideas? Thanks

    I just did that on my 40 hp Honda. Pretty simple job actually. If the toon is on a trailer its easy. Running the cables under the deck might be hard in the water. But its not a hard job. Get the right size and ends and do them one at a time so you don't loose tract of how they connect.
