Default Sears Ted Williams 7.5 HP

I'm looking for parts for this outboard. The model number is 574.59520 and serial number is 67600710-6513. I would like to know the year and who manufactured it and if a manual is available for it. The motor runs fine but seems to be heating in the cylinder area at higher rpms. I disassembled the pump and the impellers look like they should be replaced. If anyone can help with the manufacturer and year and source of parts I would appreciate the help.

Try Mercury. Force made the majority of sears motors and Mercury caries parts for them.Merc has a web site that will give you the closest dealer.

I know Eska made some TW motors for Sears. That sounds like the 1 cylinder version of a 15 hp twin I used to have. There was only one manual for both. Does the The powerhead for the Eska-built TWs was a Tecumseh. Does this sound right? If so, I can give you a hand with obtaining a manual. I've still got a copy of the manual lying around somewhere.

Hi Rob, Well I might as well toss in a guess. I could not find your model # on any of my lists, yet. From info I do have model#s that begin with 571, were made by West Bend (that's not you), model#s that begin with 574 were made by McCulloch (formerly Scott) (formerly Scott-Atwater). So between you stating that you have two empellers and that the model# begins with 574, I am going to say you have a McCulloch. These models feature a self bailer for the boat. The reason for two empellers, one for cooling and one for bilge. This was a left over from Scott-Atwater's famous bail-o-matic. Points sets, condencers, and EMPELLERS are available after market from Sierra. Napa auto parts deals these parts from there marine catolog. My guess is you need Napa part# 18-3009 (replaces #73055) empeller for a 7.5hp 1960-69. Hopefully you have one of the many great Napa dealers near you. There are a few around my area that ain't cuttin it. The part# I gave is for one empeller only, not a kit.

I have a 1976 15 hp Ted William motor (Eska). Some of the parts I can still order form sears (expensive) and some I can get form Certified Parts Corporation. If I really get desprite, I'd try Discount Marine or Twin City Outboard.
