Thread: Sea King 25

    Default Sea King 25

I have Sea King 25hp, I have read that it takes both 24:1 & 50:1. I cannot seem to keep the thing running, I have tried adjusting the 2 mixture knobs but cannot seem to get a good combination. I can get it running for about 4-8 seconds then I need to wait for 5-10 minutes and try all over again. Im not the greatest mechanic but can get by. Any suggestions on a good place to start to figure this thing out?

The 24:1 is probably okay for now.

Sounds like your carburetors flooding. Lean out the mixture by turning the low speed needle out (counterclockwise) a little bit at a time. If you just can't get the carburetor adjusted right, it might be time to for a fresh rebuild kit.
