    Default monkey wards sea king year?

    I have a 9.9 sea king that says made by chrysler thats a 9.9 and i would like to know the year. numbers are as follows: V W B 522996 serial no: 38X229** Thanks,

    VWB 52299 = 1980
    VWB 52299A = 1981
    VWB 52299B = 1982
    VWB 52299C = 1983
    VWB 52299D = 1984

    I'll bet that 6 is a B

    You'll find quite a few parts available right here on iboats. Just use the appropriate model year under Chrysler. You can find parts diagrams at www3.sears.com, enter 225.587990 in the search box. It should be pretty darn close.
