Every Project Has A Starting Point...just maybe not an end.
That's a 1952 model, made by Scott-Atwater. 133-2-1325 is the model number.
I don't have a lot of details for you. www.discount-marine-parts can sell you a carb kit for that one. Other parts can be also be found there and around the internet, thanks to the popularity of Scott-Atwater outboards. That site also has manuals for Scott-Atwater outboards.
As you dig into it, we may be able to help you. You should also go to www.aomci.org and check them out. They have an Ask A Member forum, where there are several Scott-Atwater experts. They also have a classified section and a list of links that may prove useful
Good luck.
Sure...go ahead and laugh at my old aluminum boat. It's paid for!
One great thing about old, cheap motors is they are a great learning tool. And if you are really cheap like me they are great to see just how many parts adn jerry-rigging stuff you can make to get it running. And when they run, it's a great feeling.
